Sensei Etama Byrnes: Black Belt & Ninja Kids Head Instructor

NOTE: SENSEI BYRNES HAS MOVED TO AUSTRALIA. WE WISH HIM ALL THE VERY BEST IN HIS NEW VENTURE.

Mr. Byrnes trained as a young lad in boxing, a small stint in Tae Kwon Do & Chidokan Karate

• 1988 - Mr. Byrnes trained in CQB with NZArmy
• 1990 - First began training in Ninjutsu under Sensei Walters.
• 1996 - Mr. Byrnes commenced training under Sensei Cockell after Sensei Walters moved home to Dargaville.
• 2001 - Mr. Byrnes gained the rank of Shodan Black Belt. Awarded to him by Sensei Cockell for his outstanding effort and committment in the art of Ninjutsu.
• 2003 - Mr. Byrnes was awarded the rank of Nidan Black Belt by Shidoshi Michael Gent.
• 2009 - Mr Byrnes gained the rank of Sandan Black Belt. This grade was awarded by Shidoshi Travis Rapana. To date Mr Bynes continues to train under Sensei Cockell with the senior classes in West Auckland and in the City.

Learning & Teaching Ninjutsu has always been a passion for Mr. Byrnes hence, he founded & put together Ninja Kids, Auckland,  NZ in 2009. Now as the head instructor of the Ninja Kids Dojo, Mr Byrnes enjoys the challenge of passing on the valuable skills he has obtained through his many years of training and practical application through his security work to the next generation of New Zealand children keen to learn Ninjutsu.
